Drum Roll, Please!

We have started off the school year by tapping into rhythms! Each class is reviewing and exploring rhythms of different durations and working on recognizing them by sound. We have done this in various ways: group listening games to arrange music dots, pattern worksheets, and call & response through body percussion.

As we progress we will add the symbol for each sound to gain literacy in reading music as we set up for future units in note reading, dynamics, style, and more. It is the foundation to start off a great musical year!
